Thomson Reuters is a global leader in information technology and resources. I served under the North American Legal & Regulatory Division promoting and selling legal resource materials to Fortune 500 companies, leading lawyers, and small businesses. My time with Thomson resulted in 3 promotions and 3 separate jobs. These roles are outlined below.
Sr. Corporate Sales Consultant March 2008- November 2010
•Managed large corporation legal accounts on east coast. Provide solutions and services that fit our customers’ needs. Maximizing ROI while creating and generating profitable solutions.
•Finished 2009 as 2nd best Corporate Rep out of 13 with 115% attainment of yearly quota.
•Landed largest contract in Corporate division for 2009 & ‘10 with CVS Pharmacy contract.

Community Relations Assistant February 2005 - October2005
•Managed program donating tickets to over 600 non-profit organizations in the upper Midwest.
•Drafted pre-game scripts; wrote letters to community organizations for player and mascot requests, charitable givings, and various community initiatives.
•Coordinated donation requests for charitable auctions, school programs, and events.
•Assisted with player appearances to schools, functions, and celebrity events with the likes of Harmon Killebrew, Tony Oliva, Rod Carew, and Kent Hrbek, as well as current players.
•Aided with Twins charitable tournaments: Killebrew Golf Classic and Hrbek Fishing Classic.
•Ran community initiated programs including Coaches Award and Batting Practice Buddies.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities, Big Brother July 2007- August 2009
I mentored a 15 year old boy with a poor living situation. I provided a male guidance figure to him; during our time together we took in activities and events that he normally would not have the resources to do so. Furthermore I provided valuable life and career advice to which he still seeks out to this day.
Twinsfest,Volunteer 2006-2009
Having worked for the Twins, I am called upon to assist in the annual Twinsfest weekend at the dome every January. I have helped in crowd-assistance and player autograph sessions.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Thomson West Golf League, President April 2007 - September 2010
Administered after-work golf league for co-workers. I developed the idea early in 2007 that started as a casual outing after work and has blossomed into a full league complete with divisions, tournaments, and prizes. We play 6-8 courses in the Metro area over the summer and I set up the groups and tee times, handle the money, coordinate the tournaments and administer the rules.

I started my own blog last year. In an effort to relay my thoughts and express my mind, I’ve used this as a forum to showcase my creative writing ability, while providing mainly sports topics for discussion. iPhone Applications January 2011 - Present
I’ve been working with a software developer on building iPhone applications. Currently in progress, I use Microsoft Project and WBS tools to aid in managing the projects.

Water Polo, Captain 2003 - 2005
I played Water Polo at SJU and was the team captain my Senior year. I helped plan practices, tournaments, and coordinated funding requests from the University. Over my junior and senior year we finished in the top 6 in the Nation.
Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE), Media Coordinator – Board of Directors 2003-2005
I was involved with SIFE, a global student business organization promoting free enterprise and community leadership. We developed many college and community activities that were both educational and purposeful. My senior year, I was elected to the Board of Directors as the Media Coordinator, responsible for the visibility of our organization on Campus and in the Community.
Swim Team Manager/Announcer/Assistant 2001-2005
I worked all four years in the Athletic Department mainly for the Swim team, providing assistance to the one and only coach the program had. I ran the meets, set up, announced, and assisted in recruiting.
Radio Disc Jockey 2003-2005
I was a DJ on Thursday nights my Junior and Senior year at the local campus radio station. My call name was Brock from the Block and my partner and I created a show called Digital Underground that was sponsored by SIFE. We played various alternative campus music and discussed everything from local sports to global business.
